QR Cat for iPhone and iPad, by iyio · Last updated 2 October 2026
Short version: QR Cat doesn’t collect any data about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
What happens to what you type
QR Cat is made by iyio (“we”). Everything you enter (links, WiFi names and passwords, contact details, payment usernames, event details and logos) is used only on your iPhone or iPad to create your QR code. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Codes you save
Codes you save in “My Codes” are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Photos
If you choose a logo, QR Cat reads only the photo you pick. If you tap “Save to Photos”, it asks for permission to add images to your library, and it only ever adds images. It never reads your library.
Network
QR Cat works offline and makes no network requests. Links you tap yourself (“Open Google Business Profile”, and our privacy and support pages) open in your browser, under that website’s own privacy policy.
Where your codes lead
Your QR codes contain your link or details directly. When someone scans one, their phone talks only to the website or app the code points to, never to us.
Children
QR Cat doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this ever changes, for example if we add optional online features, we’ll update this page and the date above before releasing that version.
